In early 2015, Blessings Christian Church built walls on two sides of the church property to define their property line. In December, 2015, they acquired two sets of property adjacent to the church property. Now they are able to build the remaining two walls to help make their church property grounds more secure. At this time, Bread to the Nations leaders in Haiti are still gathering costs to complete the entire wall, including a gate and razor wire.
In addition to building a wall around the property of the church, Blessings Christian Church has been making slow progress on a bathroom facility on the church grounds. It will take another $600 to complete the bathroom and make it usable. Bathrooms play an essential roll in proper hygiene, which is lacking in many parts of Haiti. Most families in this church community do not have access to a bathroom. The walls are complete but the bathroom still needs a roof, a door and inside facilities to function as a bathroom.
